Hospital Policies
Appointment Policy
San Roque Pet Hospital welcomes walk-in clients, however appointments are preferred. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, followed by patients with previously scheduled appointments.
No Show / Cancellation Policy
We understand when mistakes happen or appointments are forgotten. Our goal, however, is to keep our appointments available for our patients that need medical attention.
If it is necessary to cancel an appointment, please do so 24 hours in advance. An early cancellation will give another client the possibility to bring their pet to SRPH. Additionally, it is costly when we have an unplanned interruption in our patient appointment schedule.
To encourage kept appointments, we have adopted the following process:
v If an appointment is missed, or cancelled “late” (at least 24 hours notice in advance of the appointment time), a policy notice reminder will be mailed to the client.
v A 2nd missed or “late” cancellation will result in another letter and will be assessed a $25 per patient appointment charge, which is the client’s responsibility to pay.
v Further missed appointments will continue incurring the fee of $25 per patient appointment.
Cancellation or Postponement of a Medical Procedure
Because we must have the appropriate staff on duty for particular medical procedures, we require 48 hours notice if you need to postpone or cancel a scheduled procedure. If your pet's procedure is canceled or postponed with less than 48 hours notice, an assessment of 50% of the value of the estimate we will be charged to your account.
We hope you understand the need for these policies
and thank you for allowing us the opportunity to take care of your pet’s healthcare needs.
