Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is fully equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.

Anesthesia: We utilize Sevoflurane, the safest available anesthetic, to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures by highly trained personnel.
- Ultrasound: Our doctors are experienced in using this non-invasive, valuable diagnostic tool for everything from pregnancy determination to tumor identification. Additionally, our doctors are skilled in Cardiac ultrasound (Echo) which aids them in diagnosing heart disease and determining the remaining extent of heart function (important when anesthesia is needed).
- Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern digital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders.

Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists via telemedicine.

Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics, Senior Wellness panels and biopsy consultations.

Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventives to meet the needs of your pet.

Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and oral surgery.
We have a digital x-ray machine in order to take high-resolution x-rays to find out whether or not your pet really needs an extraction.Rehabilitation Therapy:
Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.

Bathing: Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available through Colleen's Grooming (805-687-8414) located next door.

Hospital Policies
Appointment Policy
San Roque Pet Hospital welcomes walk-in clients, however appointments are preferred. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, followed by patients with previously scheduled appointments.
No-Show / Cancellation Policy
for Exams and Office Visits
We understand when mistakes happen or appointments are forgotten. Our goal, however, is to keep our appointments available for our patients that need medical attention.
If it is necessary to cancel an appointment, please do so 24 hours in advance. An early cancellation will give another client the opportunity to bring their pet to SRPH.
Because we know time is important to everyone, we have adopted the following policy:
* If an appointment is missed, or cancelled “late” (with less than 24 hours notice in advance of the appointment time), a policy notice reminder will be mailed to the client.
* A 2nd missed or “late” cancellation will result in another letter and a $25 per patient missed appointment charge, which is the client’s responsibility to pay.
* With further missed or late appointments, the client will continue to incur the fee of $25 per patient missed appointment charge.

Cancellation or Postponement
of Scheduled Medical Procedures
A 50% deposit is required at the time a procedure is scheduled. The remaining balance is due at the time services are rendered. Because we must have the appropriate staff on duty for particular medical procedures, we require 48 hours notice if you need to postpone or cancel a scheduled procedure. If the procedure is cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours, the deposit is non-refundable.
